Someone who picks this thing up in 2016 will be getting a technically superior product. Millions of people will play the game to death, find bugs all over the place, and Bethesda will do their best to squash them. Two or three months from now, it will be even better than that. Rest assured: a month from now, Fallout 4 will be a better game. You'll fall through the world, and then some. Bethesda games are famous for their bugs, and Fallout 4 is right up there with the best of them. Video games are often in an uncomfortable position where the most loyal fans and dedicated players are rewarded with a sub-optimal product and the opportunity to do one final round of QA before real people start buying the game. ![]() ![]() The first, and most obvious reason for this is bugs. Other people, however, have other games to play, or just an inkling to do something else with this week than play Fallout 4. If you can spare the effort, mentally, it's worth it to wait. I love Bethesda games in every way, shape, and form, and I will not spend a single second longer than I have to not playing it. I understand that impulse, and I feel that impulse. For some people, there is no option but to buy a game like this at release. ![]()
